Instead she had to persevere through twelve publisher rejections and many personal trials to achieve tremendous success. 

-write about another author who had to go through many difficulties before he or she achieved success. With an adult's permission, use the Internet to research your author. Tell who he or she was, what kind of literature he or she wrote, and what obstacles he or she experienced before becoming a successful author.
